Going back to school 2

It’s nearly my first day back at school – I’m dreading it!

However I have devised a few things to help me take my mind off of it / help make it a bit easier.

  1. Going to bed at 7:30 . When I say this I mean go up to bed and chill out not go to sleep.
  2. Have a bath before bed. I’m going to have a bath just so I can relax a bit because I know I’ll be stressing out.
  3. Keeping myself busy/ distraction. This is a technique that works wonders for me so I’ll probably work on doing some nice blogging things.
  4. Chocolate. I think this will help and will be really nice to because it gives off some kind of feel good hormone – I think.
  5. Ear seeds – I haven’t worn these for a while but I think I might try these again I do need to find them first though.
  6. Sleep – I don’t know how much I will get but the more the better !
  7. And on the day I know I will be seeing my counsellor .

I hop this helped you guys and that you are finding going back to school a tad easier than me and I promise in the end it will be fine! Even though I can’t get my head round that yet I know in my heart that it will be. Thanks for reading guys I hope you enjoyed it and that you will like and share and do all those lovely things.

The first step

It has come to my attention recently that I don’t really do things for people who have just started their anxiety journey.

One of my friends came to me saying they think think they have anxiety. We talked through it and I thought that she did have anxiety or she at least needed to talk to her parents about it. Obviously she was a bit nervous so we talked through how she could do it. Unfortunately, there is no magic way of doing it but I thought I’d give you some of my tips for telling someone: Continue reading

A million doll hairs

So happy friday everyone!! It’s the end of the (working) week whoop whoop! Anyway, let’s get on with todays post.

A million doll hairs? Yes the title is ‘ A million doll hairs’ But why? Well, in hard times it is really important to keep a 🙂 on your face somehow. A million doll hairs comes from a joke me and my friend have where we made a spelling mistake and thought it was so funny we say it all the time now. So the point of today was to try and get  you to think to have a bit more fun. If you know someone that is having a hard time put a smile on their face. I promise you it will really help them – even if they don’t show it they will appreciate it, I promise.

So I have managed to make it to today! Hopefully I will speak to you tomorrow and in the comments below try and guess what a million doll hairs actually means. Remember to share this with all your friends, follow so you won’t miss if I upload tomorrow and like to share some love

Zone out

So the second day and I’m still uploading. YEEEEEEYY.

Down to business, I want to talk about ‘zoning out’ I often do this for a little bit in the evenings a couple of times a week. Some days I find it easy but other days I find it quite hard.

Different people do it in different ways. My favourite way is listening to music and at the same time writing a post or doing a hobby or going on a walk.

I find this really relaxes me especially if I listen to Shawn Mendes or something similar. (Don’t judge my taste in music – hahahaha)

You could maybe try yoga or swimming to ‘zone out’ as well

Anyway, that’s all I’ve got for today don’t forget to do all those lovely things below ( liking, following and sharing) and (hopefully) I will see you tomorrow,

It’s OK not to be ready

Sometimes you do have to say no because you aren’t ready….

I have talked about this topic before but I want to talk about something particular today.

So in the Easter Holidays which feels like ages ago and I wish I was still enjoying doing what I want when I want, playing in the garden (coughs) I’m getting off topic here. Anyway, this Easter I really wanted to dip-dye/ombre my hair. I did it but I faced challenges.

  1. I knew I didn’t want it permanent as I had school in a while
  2. I was scared of allergic reactions
  3. I knew my parents weren’t allergic but it still scared me
  4. I always remember watching ‘Watchdog (a british programme)’ and them taking about the severe reactions
  5. I did have other options

In the end I was too scared to buy the temporary hair dye. I still wasn’t giving up though so I bought hair chalk in the end. I must say I have been enjoying the pinky-purple tips (lol).

The message here is a couple of things:

  1. There is a way around things
  2. You don’t have to jump in the deep end
  3. It’s not avoidance
  4. It’s still progress
  5. I suit pinky-purple ombre (off topic again…)

Thanks very much for reading and make sure you are following and are a Worry Warrior because that would be EPIC. Also maybe drop a cheeky like and a five star rating and I will see you soon 🙂

Ear seeds

So your probably really confused and lIke what are ear seeds, well I was to.

Ear seeds are little metal balls attached to a sticky plaster. It is the same principle as acupuncture but nothing pierces the skin. You stick the balls onto your ear and squeeze them when you get nervous in order to touch a pressure point which is supposed to stop/ help the anxiety. In the case for anxiety, stress, depression, insomnia, pain, addiction and detoxification you place it on the shen men. You can attach them on other places on the ear for different reliefs.

I am trying them for the first time so far they are great as far as I can see they are supposed to stay in for three days and one of the best parts is instead of having to get needles and going to a special place you can order them online and put them on at home which is great for me!

They don’t cause any pain and you can barely see them which is great. I bought a packet which easily has at least 6 months worth and they were only 7 GBP which is great so they are very in expensive.

TIP: IF YOU CAN GO FOR THE CLEAR PLASTER ONES AS THEY ARE MORE DISCREET AND LOOK SLIGHTLY BETTER.

Thanks for reading Worry Warriors and I will see you next week. Don’t forget to like, rate comment if you’ve used ear seeds or would use ear seeds and follow to become a Worry Warrior. Until next time…

What a sheet looks like. you tend to get several sheets in a packet.

Friendships – The bad ones

So first off I’m really sorry I haven’t update for a while I was busy doing other school stuff – But I know that’s not really and excuse. Anyway, I’m back and there will be more chance for me to write as I have a school holiday at the moment :).

I want to talk about friendships – they can be the best things and worst things especially when you are a teenager and going through a tough time. As I’m still at school there’s a lot of people that I don’t necessarily want to be with but have to. Honestly, that’s just horrible and in some circumstances it makes it even worse having anxiety.

So this was like maybe 6 weeks ago but there was a girl that said I was spreading rumours (which I wasn’t). She’s one I never have really got on with and still don’t. She came up to me with all these people that started shouting at me and then they started talking really loudly like I wasn’t there and being REALLY horrible. I started panicking and it really wasn’t nice but I told the person that helps me at school with my anxiety and she got t sorted which was good.

Thorough-out my whole high-school/secondary school experience, there has been a girl that is really annoying she grabs my stuff and shoves it over the other side of the class room. It has been really getting on my nerves recently and then that causes me to worry and it’s not really very nice. To deal with this one I have literally just been ignoring her – not horribly but just when she throws something instead of asking her to stop I just go get and carry on. This has so far been working she’s getting annoyed that I’m not reacting. I will keep this going and let you know how I get on.

Soon I will do the good things about friendships to counteract these anyway I hope you enjoyed and I will talk to you next week. Also I think that I have decided to call all of you lovely followers Worry Warriors, and don;t forget to follow this blog to become a Worry Warrior. Let me know if you like it by hitting the like button and sharing it and if there are any friendship things you would like me to cover or any other topics for that matter. Anyway….

Help someone else

So my slogan if you want to call it that is,” help stop the world worrying”. Basically I want to help other people understand, cope with and beat anxiety so that we can all be happier.

I bet you reading this now has had at least one person help you out with your anxiety. Let’s give something back that actually will help you in return. Next time you see someone standing alone, say hello. Next time you see someone crying, ask what’s wrong. If you know someone with anxiety help them out.

The feeling of you doing good for others will help you feel more happy. You may even want to help out a charity or another good cause.

Why don’t you try helping out the person that’s helped you?

All of this stuff is mood boosters and even distractions for your anxiety.

I hope this has helped. Why not even try telling them about this website (lol). Don’t forget to rate, follow and check out the rest of the site .

10 things to remember

When a panic attack starts sensible thinking stops. However panic will go if allowed to. Following these notes may not be easy but over time, will let the panic go easily.

1) Remember that panic feelings are only a normal reaction when you feel somethings too much

2) Remind yourself that the feelings cannot hurt you and nothing will happen.

3) Notice what is happening in your body now. Stay with the current moment. Calm down, take a deep breath and keep going

4) Thinking about what might happen isn’t going to help. Concentrate on the present moment.

5) Accept the feelings. Let them run through you and they will go quicker.

6) Monitor your level of anxiety give it a rating 10 the worst and 0 the best. You will see the level slowly go down

7) Stay in the situation. It will only get harder later on if you avoid it or leave.

8) Do your favourite breathing technique.

9) Relax your tense muscles.

10) Now continue with what you were doing

Hope this helped. Please share with your friends so they can be helped also feel free to check out the rest of the site it would make me 🙂

Improving self esteem

Sometimes low self esteem can be the cause of anxiety and also it’s always good to feel good about yourself.

To make yourself feel better you need to start by writing down what your good at. Don’t be modest be honest.

Next think about what nice things people have said or may have thought about you.

Finally, describe yourself in at least fifteen POSITIVE words!

Hope this helped remember to share and check out the google plus page wintheworrywars and wintheworrywars on the app I told you about last week Sam on the social cloud.

Thanks
